About the role
Strong leadership and people-management skills, organised, reliable and accountable, with excellent attention to detail. Possesses good communication and problem-solving skills, professional and customer-focused. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and has a strong understanding of stock control and business operations. Proactive, focusing on efficiency and profitability, a team player who leads by example, with high standards of hygiene, safety, and professionalism. Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, monitoring staff performance, managing stock orders and discrepancies, identifying operational improvements, assisting management with business objectives, liaising with suppliers, overseeing processing and production, and ensuring accurate pricing, stock capturing, and operational administration.
Requirements
- Grade 12/NSSC or equivalent
- Relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous)
- 1-2 years' proven supervision experience
- Computer literate with experience in IQ retail software, Microsoft Office, POS, or business management systems
- Good numeracy and basic financial understanding (including stock control, cash-ups, and margins)
- Good written and spoken English
- Strong knowledge of stock management, stock taking, and inventory control
- Ability to work under pressure, manage staff, and solve operational problems independently
