About the role
CEVE is hiring a dedicated and innovative Retail Store Manager to ensure the smooth running of our convenience and liquor store. The ideal candidate will be punctual, reliable, able to work under pressure, and capable of maintaining performance for extended periods. This role requires hands-on management and a proactive approach to store operations.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (essential)
- Retail Management Diploma (desirable)
- 2-5 years store management experience in a retail environment
- Experience working with inventory management software and forecasting strategies
- Knowledge of liquor legislation and safety standards
- Honesty, integrity and strong communication skills
- Supervisory skills / Management proficiency - Ability to lead a team and drive sales
- Organisational and logistics skills
- In-store stock management / Shelve and product management
- Promotional planning / creative services / presentation skills
- Analysing information and reporting
- Knowledge of systems and procedures (customer complaints, stock returns etc)
- Knowledge of basic housekeeping principles and cleanliness
- Strong knowledge of health and safety policies and procedures
- Mathematical literacy
- Customer relations, and interpersonal skills / customer service
- Good communication skills - Proficiency in English
- Attention to detail
- Computer literacy with experience using Point of Sale systems
