• Perform preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on Heavy Mining Equipment. • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic faults on HME. • Carry out inspections, troubleshooting, component replacement, and major repairs on haul trucks, excavators, drills, and front-end loaders. • Conduct scheduled maintenance in accordance with OEM specifications and maintenance plans. • Use diagnostic tools and OEM software to identify equipment faults and performance issues. • Interpret technical drawings, hydraulic and electrical schematics, and diagnostic reports. • Inspect equipment components and identify potential failures before breakdowns occur. • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, inspection reports, and equipment history. • Monitor equipment condition and provide recommendations to improve reliability and availability. • Coordinate and supervise maintenance activities carried out by artisans and technicians. • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior technicians and artisans. • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company HSE procedures and OEM standards. • Assist with major component change-outs, overhauls, and equipment rebuilds. • Liaise with OEM representatives and technical support teams on complex equipment issues. • Participate in root-cause analysis of recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions. • Ensure tools, diagnostic equipment, and workshop facilities are properly maintained and available for use. • Support the maintenance team in achieving equipment availability, reliability, and production targets. **Special Requirements:** • Relevant OEM product training and certification. • Proficiency in OEM diagnostic software and electronic diagnostic systems. • Experience working with multinational HME manufacturers or suppliers. • Experience with Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr, or other major HME brands. • Fluency in Mandarin. • Experience in large-scale open-pit mining operations. • Experience supervising or mentoring maintenance teams. • Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). • Experience in root-cause analysis and equipment reliability improvement. • Knowledge of OEM maintenance standards and technical service procedures. **Company Contact:** Address: Vivien Investment Building, Tobias Hainyeko street Swakopmund, ER, Namibia Phone: +264 64-463121/+264 64-462068 Website: http://
Requirements
- Technical Diploma, Associate Degree, or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years’ hands-on experience in Heavy Mining Equipment maintenance and repair.
- Proven experience in preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-diagnosis skills.
- Experience maintaining and repairing haul trucks, excavators, drills, and front-end loaders.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, hydraulic and electrical schematics, diagnostic data, and OEM maintenance instructions.
- Ability to mentor artisans and technicians and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Fluency in English.
- Valid Code B Driver’s Licence.
- Updated Police Code of Conduct.
