NEW HORIZON COPPER (PTY) LTD | KOMBATNHC is committed to operating safely, responsibly and efficiently while developing Namibia’s copper resources to create long-term value for our people, communities and the country.We are looking for a motivated Plant Assistant to join our Processing team.PURPOSE OF THE JOBTo provide safe and effective operational support to the copper processing plant and assist Plant Operators with routine plant activities, equipment care, housekeeping and production support.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide operational support to Plant Operators and assist with safe and efficient operation of assigned plant areas. • Assist with routine equipment checks, cleaning and housekeeping to maintain safe and orderly work areas. • Assist with plant start-up, shutdown, isolation and other activities as instructed and within own competence. • Assist with loading, movement and handling of plant materials and equipment where required. • Report abnormalities, equipment issues, unsafe conditions and relevant operational information promptly. • Work safely in assigned areas and comply with all HSE procedures and PPE requirements. **Company Contact:** Address: Kombat Mine OD, Namibia Phone: 0672314000 Website: http://
Requirements
- [MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS]
- Grade 10.
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant plant, processing or operational experience.
- Ability to follow operating procedures, support Plant Operators and perform assigned duties safely and reliably.
- Basic knowledge of plant operations, equipment care, housekeeping and HSE requirements.
- Practical exposure to flotation, milling, crushing, grinding, filtration and/or bagging areas will be considered during screening.
