About the role
As Technical Supervisor, you will oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of small to medium-sized solar energy projects. Key responsibilities include collaborating on project requirements, leading solar PV system design for optimization and safety, managing procurement of materials, supervising installation teams to ensure compliance and quality, managing project teams and budgets, maintaining detailed project records, and acting as the primary client contact. You will ensure adherence to Nampower regulations and industry standards, troubleshoot electrical and technical issues, travel nationwide for project inspections and client meetings, and prioritize safety throughout all project phases. Proficiency in English and Afrikaans for communication and Microsoft Office for record-keeping is required.
Requirements
- Certified Electrician with relevant qualifications
- Extensive experience in Solar PV system design and installation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Afrikaans
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Leadership skills and the ability to manage project teams effectively
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to safety and compliance with industry standards
- Willingness and ability to travel to project sites nationwide
- Possess a valid driver's license
