About the role
The Chief Financial Officer will oversee financial processing and internal controls, management accounts and financial reporting, budgets, forecasts, cashflow, working capital, branch financial oversight, year-end and annual financial statements, tax and statutory compliance, audit firm independence and ethics, data protection, insurance and financial risk, IT and finance systems, ESG and sustainability reporting, PKF International/Global reporting, and lead the finance team.

Requirements
- Chartered Accountant (CA(Nam) registered with ICAN, OR CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA, CPA eligible for ICAN registration, or directly equivalent recognised qualification).
- Eligibility to work in Namibia (Namibian citizenship, permanent residence, or appropriate work permit).
- Minimum 8 years post-qualification experience, with at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role.
- Demonstrable experience preparing and reviewing annual financial statements under IFRS or IFRS for SMEs and the Companies Act, 2004.
- Working knowledge of the Namibian Income Tax Act, VAT Act, PAYE, and NamRA submission processes (including ITAS).
- Strong experience in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management, debtors and WIP management, internal controls, and statutory tax compliance.
- Experience leading and developing a finance team.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proven ability to use accounting and practice management systems.
- Driver's License Code B - Will be required to travel to the other PKF FCS branches.
- Experience with practice management systems used by Namibian accounting firms (e.g., Caseware Working Papers, PAPAS Namibia, Pastel Partner).
- Experience managing finance across multiple branches or offices.
- Experience coordinating network, member-firm, or international reporting requirements.
- Working knowledge of PAAB and ICAN independence and ethics rules, and the IFAC IESBA Code.
- Familiarity with Namibian exchange-control directives administered by the Bank of Namibia through authorised dealers.
- Language requirement: English.
- Preference for person of a previously disadvantaged group as described in the Employment Equity Act.
