About the role
The Drilling Fluids, Cement & Drilling Waste Management Superintendent is responsible for the technical and operational management of drilling fluids, cementing and drilling waste management activities across drilling and well intervention operations.The position provides technical leadership and oversight to ensure that fluids, cement and waste management programmes are safely, efficiently and cost-effectively executed in accordance with approved engineering designs, operational requirements, applicable standards and HSE objectives.The role requires extensive experience in onshore and deepwater/offshore drilling operations, strong knowledge of drilling fluids and cementing engineering, contractor and contract management, operational troubleshooting, QA/QC, performance optimisation and drilling waste management. **Special Requirements:** • Strong technical leadership • Excellent problem-solving skills • Strong analytical and engineering capabilities • Ability to work effectively under operational pressure • Strong contractor and stakeholder management skills • Good commercial awareness • Excellent communication and reporting skills • Strong commitment to HSE • Ability to work effectively in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams • Ability to make sound technical decisions • Strong attention to detail • Ability to identify operational improvement and cost-saving opportunities • French: First spoken language **Company Contact:** Address: 61 Theo-Ben Gurirab Street, Klein Windhoek Windhoek, KH, Namibia Phone: +264 61 237 647 Website: http://www.aps.com.na
Requirements
- [Minimum Qualifications]
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Petroleum Engineering, Drilling Engineering or a related Oil & Gas discipline.
- Relevant extensive experience in drilling fluids, cementing and/or drilling waste management.
- Drilling Fluids Specialist Certificate
- OPITO-approved BOSIET with EBS.
- IWCF Drilling Well Control – Level 4, Combined Surface and Subsea BOP Stack.
- Relevant drilling certifications
