About the role

Procurement and Supply Chain Superintendent• Develop and implement procurement and supply chain strategies aligned with operational and project requirements. • Lead the procurement team and coordinate day-to-day purchasing and supply chain activities. • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from sourcing and supplier evaluation through to purchase orders, delivery, and close-out. • Source and procure mining equipment, heavy machinery components, critical spares, consumables, and technical services. • Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with local and international suppliers. • Conduct supplier negotiations to achieve competitive pricing, quality, delivery, payment terms, and other commercial objectives. • Manage supplier performance and address issues relating to quality, delivery, pricing, warranties, and contractual obligations. • Coordinate international procurement and logistics, including shipping, customs clearance, import documentation, and delivery to site. • Apply Incoterms and international trade requirements when managing overseas procurement activities. • Monitor procurement lead times and ensure critical materials and equipment are available when required by operations and maintenance teams. • Develop procurement plans and maintain appropriate inventory and critical-spares strategies to minimise operational downtime. • Manage procurement contracts, purchase orders, supplier agreements, and related commercial documentation. • Coordinate warranty claims and ensure timely resolution of defective equipment, components, and materials. • Monitor procurement expenditure, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support budget control. • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, approval procedures, applicable legislation, and ethical procurement standards. • Identify supply chain risks and develop contingency plans for critical equipment, materials, and services. • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, reports, and documentation within the ERP/procurement system. • Prepare regular procurement and supply chain performance reports for management. • Work closely with Maintenance, Mining Operations, Engineering, Finance, Stores, and other departments to understand requirements and improve supply availability. • Monitor market conditions, supplier capacity, pricing trends, and availability of critical mining-related products and services. • Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, supplier performance, cost efficiency, and supply chain reliability. • Ensure effective communication and coordination with international suppliers and stakeholders. • Promote a professional, accountable, and service-oriented culture within the procurement and supply chain function. • Procurement efficiency and cost control. • Availability of critical mining equipment and spare parts. • Supplier performance and relationship management. • Procurement lead-time management. • Contract and commercial compliance. • International logistics and import coordination. • Supply chain risk management. • Inventory and critical-spares availability. • Procurement reporting and ERP system accuracy. • Team leadership and continuous process improvement. **Company Contact:** Address: Vivien Investment Building, Tobias Hainyeko street Swakopmund, ER, Namibia Phone: +264 64-463121/+264 64-462068 Website: http://
