About the role
• Provide trusted nursing care to patients and clients of Rhino Park Private Hospital in accordance with the Scope of Practice of a Nurse and Midwife practitioner. • Take responsibility for own and delegated shift’s work outputs and standards of care. • Identify, prevent and report medico-legal risks and adverse events within delegated unit. • Ensure a therapeutic and safe environment by maintaining patient safety standards within allocated unit. • Any general nursing or ad hoc duties as delegated by the Nursing Management team. **Special Requirements:** • Disposition towards quality and excellent patient care. • Always display empathy. • High energy levels and tolerance for stress. • Well-developed interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills. • Able to perform within a team, organise effectively and operate optimally under pressure. • Availability and willingness to work shifts (day and night), overtime, over weekends and Public Holidays across all units in accordance with company and operational requirements. **Company Contact:** Address: P.O.Box 8177, Windhoek, KH, Namibia Phone: 061 375 000 Website: http://www.hospital-namibia.com
Requirements
- Namibian Citizenship or eligible to work in Namibia.
- National Senior Secondary Certificate.
- Must be fully proficient in English.
- Nurse and Midwife practitioner Qualification.
- Registered with the Health Professional Council of Namibia as a Nurse and midwife practitioner
- Must have a license to practice as a Nurse and midwife practitioner
- 3 Years’ working experience as a Nurse and midwife practitioner within a maternityy ward.
- Must be competent in antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care.
- Knowledge and experience in newborn and immediate neonatal care.
- Experience in conducting normal deliveries and managing obstetric emergencies.
