About the role
NEW HORIZON COPPER (PTY) LTD | KOMBATNHC is committed to operating safely, responsibly and efficiently while developing Namibia’s copper resources to create long-term value for our people, communities and the country.We are looking for 19 motivated Plant Operators to join our Processing team.PURPOSE OF THE JOBTo safely and efficiently operate and monitor assigned areas of the copper processing plant, support production requirements and maintain safe and reliable plant operations.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Operate and monitor assigned plant areas in accordance with approved operating procedures, production requirements and safety standards. • Operate competently across different plant areas and support stable production performance. • Monitor process parameters, production output and equipment condition and respond promptly to deviations. • Carry out plant start-up, shutdown and isolation procedures safely and correctly. • Identify operational problems, perform basic troubleshooting and escalate equipment faults requiring maintenance intervention. • Maintain accurate production, inspection, operating and shift records. • Comply with all HSE requirements and maintain high housekeeping standards. **Company Contact:** Address: Kombat Mine OD, Namibia Phone: 0672314000 Website: http://
Requirements
- [MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS]
- Grade 12; a qualification in Metallurgy, Metallurgical Processing, Science or a related field will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 3 years’ plant/processing experience.
- Minimum proven competence in at least 2 plant areas, with the ability to operate safely and effectively within the assigned areas.
- Practical experience in flotation, milling, crushing, grinding, filtration and bagging will be assessed during screening.
- Knowledge of plant operating procedures, process monitoring, start-up/shutdown, basic troubleshooting and production records.
- Valid driver’s licence where required.
