About the role
• Provide first-, second-, and where required third-level technical support to users. • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment. • Administer and support Microsoft Windows Server environments. • Manage and troubleshoot Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and user accounts. • Perform user onboarding, offboarding, account creation, permissions, and access management. • Troubleshoot Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications. • Install, configure, and maintain network equipment including switches, wireless access points, routers, and firewalls. • Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and Internet connectivity issues. • Monitor and maintain servers, workstations, network infrastructure, and other IT systems. • Assist with backup and recovery operations and ensure backups are functioning correctly. • Assist with cybersecurity controls, endpoint protection, patch management, and vulnerability remediation. • Install and maintain software applications and ensure appropriate licensing compliance. • Perform hardware and software upgrades and preventative maintenance. • Maintain accurate IT asset, configuration, and documentation records. • Assist with IT projects, system implementations, upgrades, and infrastructure changes. • Liaise with external IT vendors and service providers where required. • Escalate complex incidents appropriately and follow incidents through to resolution. • Maintain IT documentation, procedures, network diagrams, and technical records. • Provide technical assistance remotely and onsite. • Ensure IT systems remain secure, available, and operational. • Participate in after-hours support or standby duties when required. • Minimum 5 years' experience in an IT Technician, IT Support, Systems Administrator, or similar role. • Demonstrable hands-on experience administering Microsoft Windows Server. • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory. • Experience with Group Policy (GPO). • Good understanding of DNS and DHCP. • Strong Microsoft Windows desktop troubleshooting skills. • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 / Office 365 environments. • Good understanding of TCP/IP networking. • Experience troubleshooting switches, routers, wireless networks, and VPN connectivity. • Experience with hardware troubleshooting and maintenance. • Understanding of backup and disaster recovery principles. • Experience with endpoint security and antivirus/EDR solutions. • Good understanding of IT security best practices. • Experience with remote support tools. • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems independently. • Strong documentation and administrative skills. • A valid driver's licence is required. • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. • Microsoft certification(s). • CompTIA certification(s). • Relevant vendor-specific technical certifications. **Company Contact:** Address: No 7 Luxury Hill, Seitz Street Windhoek, KH, Namibia Phone: 083 425 0000 Website: http://
