Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Software Engineer role based in Windhoek. The Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain software applications, with a particular focus on back-end web services and system integration. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean and efficient code, participating in code reviews, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and optimizing application performance. The role also involves collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and documenting solutions and processes. The Software Engineer is expected to stay current with industry trends and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices and tools.

Requirements

• Solid foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
• Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern programming language.
• Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and ability to apply OOP concepts in practical projects.
• Relevant degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work on-site in Windhoek, collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues, and manage projects independently.
• Experience with version control systems, testing frameworks, and basic DevOps practices is beneficial.
• Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to writing maintainable, secure, and scalable code.
