An excellent career opportunity exists for interested and qualified candidates to apply for the above-mentioned position at Feedmaster (Pty) Ltd, Okapuka.PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITIONThe position is responsible to perform planned, preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance on electrical, electronic and control equipment within Feedmaster production facilities and other Namib Mills premises as assigned. The position is responsible for diagnosing electrical faults, repairing and maintaining plant equipment, minimising production downtime, improving equipment reliability and ensuring that all electrical work is completed safely and to the required standard.CANDIDATE PROFILEWe are looking for a hands-on, safety-conscious and systematic fault-finder who works accurately, remains calm under production pressure, takes ownership of repairs and communicates effectively with production personnel and the maintenance team. The successful candidate must be reliable, accountable, proactive, disciplined and committed to continuous improvement.KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic and control-system faults, and safely return equipment to service. • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on panels, MCCs, motors, drives, sensors and safety devices. • Maintain and fault-find motors, starters, contactors, overloads, VSDs, soft starters and control circuits. • Test PLC/SCADA field equipment, sensors, I/O, supplies and basic analogue signals within the authorised scope. • Install and modify approved cables, isolators and field devices; test installations and update labels and as-built information. • Investigate trips, phase loss, overheating, recurring failures and power-quality concerns, and support root-cause analysis. • Complete job cards, breakdown reports and handovers accurately; control tools, test instruments and spare parts. • Support shutdowns, commissioning, contractors and junior employees, and participate in standby and call-outs. • Apply risk assessments, permits, lockout, isolation, test-for-dead and prescribed PPE requirements at all times. **Company Contact:** Address: Dortmund Street, Northern Industry Windhoek, KH, Namibia Phone: 061 290 1181 Website: http://www.feedmaster.com.na
Requirements

- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
- S3/T4 National Technical Diploma, or recognised equivalent in electrical, electronic or instrumentation engineering.
- Recognised Trade Test Certificate as an Electrician or Industrial Electrician is compulsory
- Minimum three years' relevant experience in a manufacturing, milling, processing, agricultural, mining or industrial plant environment.
- Knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems is required; practical PLC/SCADA fault-finding experience is advantageous
- Experience with industrial motors, MCCs, starters, VSDs, protection devices, control circuits and low-voltage systems.
- Willing and able to work shifts, overtime, weekends, standby and call-outs.
- Must be able and to work at heights or in confined spaces when required.
- Must have a valid code BE driver's licence
- Must be a Namibian citizen
- Experience in Practical PLC and SCADA fault-finding, including sensors, field devices, I/O and basic instrumentation will be an added advantage.
- Experience in VSD and soft-starter fault-finding, authorised parameter management and equipment-setting backups will be an added advantage.
- Experience in shutdown maintenance, new electrical installations, commissioning and equipment-reliability improvements will be an added advantage.
