About the role:The Senior Driver is responsible to safely and efficiently drive both light and heavy-duty vehicles over established routes within the mining site on surface, underground and/or on public roads.Responsibilities • Planning and following efficient routes. • Drive relevant vehicles where required, including maneuvering, reversing and parking the vehicle. • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, report any mechanical issues, and ensure the vehicle is clean and fueled. • Assist with loading and unloading the vehicle. • Complete necessary paperwork, such as Journey Management Plans, delivery logs, trip sheets and accident reports in accordance with company policy and SOP’s. • Comply with company policies, mine regulations, and health, safety, and environmental legislation. • Adhere to all traffic laws when driving on mine and public roads. • Lead by example in a safety culture, actively participating in toolbox talks, drills, incident reporting, and training sessions. • Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions to prevent incidents. **Special Requirements:** • Problem Solving • Good driving Skills • Technical Proficiency • Reporting & Documentation • Safety Management • Teamwork • Communication • Mentoring • Professionalism • Accountability • Resilience & Adaptability • Integrity • Preference will be given to previously disadvantaged applicants **Company Contact:** Address: Otjiwarongo Otjiwarongo. Requirements
- Grade 12
- In possession of a valid heavy duty driving license.
- In possession of a valid certificate issued by a recognized training authority
- Possess a Professional Drivers Permit
- Defensive driving courses
- 5+ years experience as a driver in both light and heavy-duty vehicles over established routes within the mining site on surface, underground and/or on public roads
- Valid Code of Conduct
