Reporting to the Executive: Human Resources, the Human Resources Officer will be responsible for Human Resources Administration, Recruitments Industrial Relations and monthly Human Resources report and presentations. This position is based at Ohorongo Cement Plant (Plant Sargberg), situated between Otavi and Tsumeb • Recruitment and staff onboarding, post interview coordination and new staff orientation • Review company policies and ensure alignment with Labour Act, company operation and internal requirement • Facilitate workplace conflicts formal grievances and manage disciplinary action related matters and hearings. • Review internal company policies • Ensure internal company policies compliance • Ensure legal compliance with the Labour Act • Administer payroll, staff benefit and overtime • Maintain good recordkeeping for personnel files and Human resources database • Produce monthly Human Resources report and update monthly presentation • Maintain good record of training database and relevant information for Employer Training Grant • Maintain AA information pack and compile annual AA report • Ensure that job descriptions are up to date with employees’ tasks and responsibilities of every employee. • Assist in union and collective bargaining related matters. **Company Contact:** Address: Farm 585, Sargberg Otavi, OD, Namibia Phone: +264 67 235 7000 Website: http://www.ohorongo-cement.com
Requirements
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in human resources management or industrial Relations or Industrial Psychology and Post Graduate Diploma in the same fields.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Human Resources Management/ Industrial Relation and extensive experience in payroll administration
- Knowledge of VIP payroll system and Jarrison Time Ware system is of great advantage.
- Good understanding/ knowledge of Employee Relation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excell (intermediate skills)
- Good understanding of Labour Act
- Post experience in Mining or Manufacturing environment is added advantage.
- Other relevant post experience with minimum 5 years: People management in Human Resource environment, Industrial Relations environment as well as collective bargaining related matters
- Ability to work in a rapid paced environment to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Must have the ability to work extremely accurate.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Must be able to work independently but also in a team.
- Fluency in English is a prerequisite.
- Must have a Code B driving license.
