About the role
We are seeking a dedicated, precision-driven Optical Lab Technician to join our state-of-the-art laboratory team. In this role, you will take ownership of finishing, inspecting, and repairing high-quality ophthalmic lenses and spectacles, ensuring every product meets our rigorous quality standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience in an optical production laboratory
- Open to Namibian Citizens
- Optical dispensing qualification is highly favored
- Machine Operation: Competently operate machine lens edging, cutting, and finishing equipment
- Precision Fitting: Masterfully measure, fit, and inspect finished lenses for accurate prescriptions
- Quality Control: Maintain strict adherence to optical quality standards and laboratory procedures
- Spectacle Repair: Perform precise mechanical repairs, adjustments, and alignments on various eyewear frames
- Lens Expertise: Demonstrate deep knowledge of diverse ophthalmic lens designs, materials, and specialized coatings
- Digital Tracking: Use basic computer software to log production records and track customer orders efficiently
- Equipment Care: Conduct routine maintenance to keep lab machinery running at peak performance
- Exceptional focus, patience, and sharp attention to minute details
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to deliver accurate work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent teamwork, problem-solving capabilities, and a positive, solution-oriented attitude
