About the role

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:The Cost & Management Accountant will be responsible for cost analysis, management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, inventory management, payroll, and providing financial insights to support sound business decision-making. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS • Analyse manufacturing costs, including raw materials, direct labour and production overheads. • Prepare and analyse cost reports, standard versus actual cost variances and gross margin reports. • Develop and maintain accurate cost accounting systems, procedures and standard costs. • Calculate and monitor production costs and cost of goods sold. • Analyse product margins and profitability by product, customer and warehouse. • Participate in physical inventory counts, reconciliations and inventory valuation. • Assist with the preparation, monitoring and analysis of budgets and forecasts. • Conduct breakeven and production constraint analysis. • Prepare month-end and year-end journals, reconciliations and management reports. • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting requirements and company policies. • Provide management with accurate financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. • Work closely with Production, Procurement, Finance, HR and Senior Management. • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement and increased operational efficiency. • Continuously benchmark costing practices and support business improvement initiatives. **Special Requirements:** • CIMA qualification or progress towards CIMA. • Postgraduate qualification in Accounting, Finance or Business. • Experience in the manufacturing/paint industry. • Knowledge of manufacturing cost drivers, including raw materials, blending and packaging costs. **Company Contact:** Address: No. 12 Bell Street, Southern Industrial Area Windhoek, KH, Namibia Phone: 061-384700 Website: http://www.neopaints.com

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in cost management accounting, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proven track record as an accountant.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills, with experience in ERP systems
• Knowledge of Namibian tax legislation and compliance requirements.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work accurately under pressure.
• Valid driver’s licence.
