Positions: 1 | Employment: Full time / Permanent | Posted: 03-11-2026 Reporting to the Executive: Sales, Marketing and Logistics, the Supply Chain Manager is responsible to provide leadership to Distribution and Depots team. With direct responsibilities for downstream cement distribution network, stock control for finished products, depots stock replenishments, depot operations, inbound logistics for raw materials, reverse logistics for empty pallets and health and Safety requirements. Ensures complaince with all Health and Safety Regulations, Labour Act and other legal requirements pertaining quality Standards. (NSI/SABS/BOBS). The Supply Chain Manager will also be responsible for overall supply chain budget. The incumbent position holder will work closely with the Sales & Marketing department as well as with Packing Plant to ensure agile distribution and effective customer service cement product range. This position is based at Sargberg Plant,Otavi. • Execute strategic supply chain plans to meet sales and revenue targets • Develop robust distribution networks for local and exports markets • Optimize distribution network to reduce costs and improve delivery • Develop supply chain strategies for cement distribution network and inbound materials • Ensure effective cement delivery for domestic and export destinations • Research, evaluate and identify potential cost saving mechanisms within the supply chain network • Implement agile delivery systems to support volume growth • Develop stock replenishments plans for distribution at the depots • Build strong relationships with customers and respective service providers • Attend to supply chain related queries promptly • Manage finished goods stock and empty pallets from customers • Prevent stock losses to save costs • Manage transport service contractors performance against set SLA • Mentor, lead, motivate staff and identify areas of skills development • Evaluate team performance against sales forecasts • Provide leadership for Distribution and Depots team • Uphold standards in quality, environmental awareness, health & Safety, and social accountability. • Responsible for overall housekeeping for finished good warehouse Company Contact: Address: Farm 585, Sargberg Otavi, OD, Namibia Phone: +264 67 235 7000 Website: http://www.ohorongo-cement.com
Requirements
- Honours degree in Supply Chain/Logistics;Business Administration (NQF Level 7)
- MBA in Strategic Management will be an advantage
- Valid driving licence without endorsment
- Minimum 7 years experience in supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing of FMCG industry
- At least 5 years in a management role
- Strong leadership and negotiation skills
- Proven expertise in Supply Chain Management and distribution/warehousing,inventory management
- Technical understanding of demand forecast
- Technical understanding of Customs Clearing and cross border operations
- Technical understandind of transport/distribution operations
- Good leadership and managerial skills to direct (guide), motivate and manage the packing and distribution team
- Customer-centric mindset with sales-distribution intergration experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP knowledge is a plus
- Ability to work under pressure and extended hours
- Willingness to travel within Namibia and regional market
