Positions: 1 | NEIS Category: Semi-skilled | Employment: Full time / Contract | Posted: 05-11-2026 • Install, maintain and repair mechanical plant and equipment, including crushers, conveyors, screens, bagging machines and kiln/retort components • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and keep accurate maintenance records • Diagnose and repair breakdowns quickly to minimise production downtime • Perform welding, cutting and fabrication work on site • Maintain and service gearboxes, bearings, pumps, drives and hydraulic systems • Assist with servicing of site vehicles, tractors and other machinery when required • Manage spares, tools and workshop stock, and report shortages in good time • Follow all health and safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out and PPE requirements • Report on equipment condition and recommend improvements to the Manager Manager Special Requirements: • Experience in charcoal production or the bush-to-feed / biomass sector • Basic diesel mechanic or auto-electrical knowledge • Experience with hydraulic systems Company Contact: Address: Windhoek, Khomas Region, Namibia Windhoek, KH, Namibia Phone: +26461250348 Website: http://www.elevatenamibia.com
Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate
- Trade test certificate as a Fitter (or Fitter & Turner) from a recognised institution (NTA or equivalent)
- At least 5 years' experience as a Fitter in a production, mining, agricultural or industrial environment
- Welding and fabrication skills
- Ability to read technical drawings and equipment manuals
- Valid driver's licence
- Willingness to live and work on a remote farm-based site
