General Scope of DutyThe Group Financial Manager is responsible for leading an integrated finance function that enables business performance, supports sustainable growth and protects organisational value. Through effective financial leadership, governance, treasury oversight and strategic business partnering, the position ensures that the Namibian group of B2Gold companies is equipped with the financial insight, controls and resources required to achieve its objectives and deliver long-term success.This position acts as a key adviser to the Managing Director and leadership team, converting operational information into commercial decisions, ensuring that senior managers understand the financial implications of production, maintenance, workforce, contracting and mine-plan choices.Location and reporting structureThis position is based at the Windhoek Office and will report directly to the Managing Director.Strategic Leadership•Participates in the strategic planning and execution process of B2Gold as a full member of the executive team.•Provides strategic leadership on relevant financial matters in collaboration with all relevant strategic stakeholders.•Oversee the design, implementation and evaluation of the Group financial strategy.Risk Management and Corporate Governance•Ensure that corporate governance principles and good practices, including King IV and NamCode, are upheld at all times.•Support the audit function in establishing adequate and effective monitoring systems as required by law.•Participate in the implementation and management of relevant and appropriate risk management protocols, systems and mechanisms.Stakeholder Relations•Collaborates with all relevant industry stakeholders and disseminate relevant information in so far as it pertains to B2Gold Namibia’s financial reporting.•Ensure the establishment and maintenance of relationships with key stakeholders.Group Financial Performance•Direct and oversee the financial management, financial accounting and management accounting activities of all Namibian B2Gold entities.•Oversee the development, consolidation, review and implementation of annual budgets, forecasts, Life of Mine financial inputs and longer-term financial plans.•Ensure accurate, complete and timeous monthly, quarterly, annual, statutory and management reporting for all entities.•Review consolidated financial results, cash flow information, forecasts, cost performance, operational variances and key financial performance indicators.•Analyse group and entity financial performance and provide recommendations to the Managing Director, executive management and relevant stakeholders.•Ensure the integrity of accounting records, general ledger accounts, reconciliations, cost allocations, period-end processes and financial information used for decision-making.Treasury and Insurance Management•Provide strategic oversight of the Group’s treasury, liquidity and insurance portfolios.•Ensure effective cash management and funding strategies, and optimise working capital and treasury performance while safeguarding financial assets and supporting operational and strategic objectives.•Ensure appropriate insurance coverage to protect the Group’s assets and operations.Compliance and Systems Management•Provide strategic oversight of the Group’s governance, compliance and internal control framework.•Ensure an effective control environment that supports risk mitigation, regulatory compliance and business sustainability.•Drive financial systems and technology strategies that enhance operational efficiency, reporting integrity and decision-making.•Champion continuous improvement and digital transformation initiatives across finance and business systems.Strategic Business Improvement and Value Creation•Lead strategic business improvement and special project initiatives that enhance efficiency, cost competitiveness and long-term value creation.•Provide financial modelling, scenario analysis and business case evaluation for strategic projects, expansions and new business opportunities.•Identify and drive operational, margin, cost and working capital improvement opportunities to release value and support cash optimisation.•Monitor delivery and benefits realisation of approved projects against agreed financial, operational and strategic objectives.Safety, Health and Environment•Comply with the B2Gold Golden Rules, Code of Conduct and all Policies.•Ensure compliance with all B2Gold Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures.•Actively participate in safety and/or toolbox meetings and conduct a monthly safety inspection of the work area based on the schedule set by Management. **Company Contact:** Address: b/t Otjiwarongo and Otavi Otjiwarongo / Otavi, OD, Namibia Phone: +264 61 295 8700 Website: http://https://b2gold.ci.hr/applicant/index.php
