NOC is proud to have a multidisciplinary team of cancerspecialists, including Oncologists, Medical Physicists, Radiation Therapists, Oncology Nurses and Social Workers, providing expert care to our patients.NOC is seeking a qualified Radiation Therapist X5 to join the team in the Radiotherapy department. The position is fulltime, Monday – Friday. Responsibilities: • Safely and accurately deliver prescribed radiotherapy treatments to patients • Perform patient simulations, tumour localisation procedures, and prepare immobilisation devices • Maintain accurate records of patient treatment regimens and progress • Observe and implement radiation safety measures for patients and personnel • Explain procedures to patients and provide education on potential side effects and management • Perform and document daily linear accelerator warm-up and quality assurance procedures • Monitor patients during treatment and respond appropriately to any complications • Collaborate with medical physicists and oncologists to optimise treatment delivery • Participate in weekly on-call rotation as required • Maintain clean, safe, and orderly treatment areas • Assist with departmental policies, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives Company Contact: Address: 3 Heliodoor Street Windhoek, KH, Namibia Phone: 0833305015 Website: http://www.namoncology.com
Requirements
- Degree in Therapeutic Radiography or equivalent relevant qualification (essential)
- Minimum three years' clinical experience with linear accelerators
- Experience in VMAT/RapidArc and advanced treatment techniques
- Experience with Mosaiq software and Elekta linear accelerators preferred
- Current registration with Allied Health Professions Council of Health Professions Council of Namibia
- Recent working experience within the private healthcare sector is advantageous
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Proven work ethic and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with patients and colleagues
- Fluency in English; additional languages advantageous
- Namibian citizenship or residency status
