Positions: 1 | Employment: Full time / Permanent | Posted: 05-11-2026 MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB The Nursing Manager is responsible for coordinating improved, cost-effective, quality nursing care by ensuring compliance with professional and ethical practice. The incumbent is also responsible for monitoring and ensuring that nursing care and service delivery are implemented and practised within a multi-disciplinary quality assurance team. In accordance, the incumbent will further be accountable for coordinating capacity building, mentoring, training and providing leadership in Clinical Governance. Clinical Output • Compile, effective implementation and monitoring of the hospital-specific nursing strategy • Drive and support a culture of quality nursing care and patient safety • Effective delivery of a nurse resourcing plan to ensure effective staffing management and optimal operational efficiency • Develop and implement a comprehensive education and training plan for nursing to ensure a competent nursing staff complement, which is aligned with the business needs • Delivery of the company’s strategic quality initiatives • Effective governance to mitigate clinical nursing risk • Effective business efficiency management • Deliver appropriate information to the business to facilitate the decision-making process and support management • Manage key stakeholder relations Clinical SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE • Infection prevention and control • Continuous improvement and quality assurance methodologies • Clinical risk management • Management of staff productivity • Relevant nursing legislation • Auditing and accreditation processes • Human resource processes, including employee relations • Patient complaint management Company Contact: Address: Erf 904 Eugene Kakukuru Street Rundu, KE, Namibia Phone: 066268 8400 Website: http://www.runduprivatehospital.com
Requirements

- Nursing qualification essential
- A Postgraduate Diploma in Health Services Management or an Accredited Management Qualification will be an advantage
- Current registration with HPCNA
- Technical and Professional Competence to the critical outputs
- Understanding of funding models
- Knowledge of the Nursing Education framework
- Understanding of Namibia’s healthcare industry as it relates to Nursing and key role-players
- Understanding of operating structures and relationships within a hospital environment
- Proven leadership and people management experience
- Financial and business acumen
- Computer proficiency in MS office
