About the role
Purpose of the Job: To render a management, engineering support and leadership function in the Planning and Design Section, including compliance to the engineering standards, of the Low, Medium and High Voltage Electricity Network of the City of Windhoek.
Requirements
- Supervise the Work/Job activities of Staff members in the section.
- Provide management, engineering support and leadership functions on Planning and Design Section in the Engineering Services Division.
- Provides management in the Planning, Monitoring and Control of Engineering drawings, design updates and upkeep in the Electricity Department.
- Ensure appropriate change of management processes, production and coordination in the Planning and Design Section of the Engineering Sevices Division.
- Ensure compliance with all City of Windhoek standard, quality, legal and contractual requirements.
- Provide management of Electricity equipment, tenders and network simulation software.
- Performs interfacing functions.
