About the role:The Storeman is responsible for managing inventory and storage facilities.Responsibilities • Receiving and inspecting goods. • Storing goods, ensuring proper handling and storage conditions. • Maintaining accurate records of stock level, tracking inventory movement, and performing regular stock takes. • Picking, packing and preparing requisitions for dispatch. • Confirm transport arrangements and liaise with the relevant parties • Liaise with suppliers, colleagues and other departments regarding stock levels, deliveries and other relevant information. • Complete necessary documentation for receiving and dispatch, and maintain up-to-date records. • Use specialized equipment, including forklifts, and computer systems, to perform daily tasks. • Comply with company policies, mine regulations, and health, safety, and environmental legislation. • Uphold high housekeeping standards in work area. • Lead by example in a safety culture, actively participating in toolbox talks, drills, incident reporting, and training sessions. **Special Requirements:** • Strong organizational ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with teams and external partners. • Ability to maintain accurate records. • A general understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations as well as company SOPs. • Attention to detail • Time Management • Accountability • Intergrity • Preference will be given to previously disadvantaged applicants **Company Contact:** Address: Otjiwarongo Otjiwarongo. Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.Certified fork-lift driver
- 3+ years Work experience as a Storeman in a mining/constructionenvironment.
- Knowledge of handling and storage of hazardous materials.
- Knowledge of manual handling and packing regulations
- Valid Code of Conduct
