KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Under the hierarchical management of OMN HSE Manager and functional management of Project Director (on project scope of work) and in close coordination with ORANO Home Office (Prisme – France) HSSE Department, this position will consist in: • Managing all the HSSE of site for the project, in the view to develop and implement a safety culture based on highest standards. Demonstrate excellence in Field Management of HSE (strong field presence and involvement). • Review the updated procedures based on construction pragmatic approach to make sure they will be fully applicable, with respects to applicable Namibian law and internal group policies, • Define and implement procedures on site, with appropriate trainings, coaching but also disciplinary measures if required (golden rules), • Define and implement integrated HSE management system involving management and members of the team (VSP, inspection, anchors...), in order to increase safety culture and onboard each member of the team, • Define and implement necessary KPI’s related to project, • Implement Pareto, Nearmiss and HIPO management system to prevent incidents: root cause analysis. • Specify to future contractors (EPC & EPCM) group expectations in terms of HSE and define and implement a system that will engage positively our contractors to safety. • Define and implement respect of environment in links with applicable law, and group policies. **Company Contact:** Address: DF Malherbe Building Swakopmund, ER, Namibia Phone: +264 (0)64 415 720 Website: http://
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety management
- Certifications HSE (NEBOSH, SAMTRAC, Incident Investigation, Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment, Isolation and Lock Out, and Project Management
- Proven track record of more than 10 years of experience on similar projects and positions as HSE Superintendent on major construction projects.
- Construction proven experience from contract preparation to final hand over to operations
- Perfect knowledge of international standards related to HSE procedures for construction (LOTO, work at height, permit to work)
- Knowledge of Namibian law (work,environment)
- Fluent in English
- Valid Driver’s license
