NOC is proud to have a multidisciplinary team of cancerspecialists, including Oncologists, Medical Physicists, Radiation Therapists, Oncology Nurses and Social Workers,providing expert care to our patients.NOC is seeking a qualified Medical Physicist to join the team in the Radiotherapy department. The position is fulltime, Monday – Friday. Responsibilities: • Commission and conduct acceptance testing of new ionising radiation equipment • Perform comprehensive quality assurance of all equipment, algorithms, and treatment procedures • Conduct pre-treatment verification of patient treatment plans using independent algorithms and hand calculations • Execute patient-specific verification of IMRT/VMAT treatment plans • Develop and implement radiation safety protocols for patients and staff • Maintain detailed records of all QA procedures and equipment performance • Collaborate with oncologists and radiation therapists to optimise treatment protocols • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and professional standards • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and treatment planning sessions Company Contact: Address: 3 Heliodoor Street Windhoek, KH, Namibia Phone: 0833305015 Website: http://www.namoncology.com
Requirements
- BScHons in Medical Physics or equivalent degree (essential)
- Minimum 3 years' clinical experience
- Current registration with Allied Health Professions Council of Health Professions Council of Namibia
- Experience with Mosaiq software and Elekta linear accelerators preferred
- Recent working experience within private healthcare sector advantageous
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Proven work ethic and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluency in English; additional languages advantageous
- Namibian citizenship or residency status
